Icy Branch
by Fro Macoon
I look out
Of the foggy windowpane
A world of white
Lies ahead
A thick blanket,
Winter's scarf.
I step outside
My boots crunch against the icy layer,
I wade through the swamp of winter
To find
The tree,
Slick with sleet
Ice
Freezing rain.
I stare at the branch
Tiny
Simple
Covered with winter's icy breath
I only see its beauty.
